Judith Schmutz at Hand & Spirit was a Godsend to me. On April 1, 2009 my health had failed so badly, I collapsed into a Grand Mal Seizure. I almost lost my life. The seizure was followed by three mini-strokes over a three-week period of time. I was only existing.
For the last 11/2 years I have been seeing Judith. After six months I was fast-walking three miles twice a day. I also was able to play golf again. Now I am truly living, laughing, and loving life.

Can I say perfect?! Judi, Hand and Spirit Massage, in Morehead City, NC was just perfect. I found her by simply calling a number I had written down months before when I was on the coast and thought at some point I would get a massage while there. I had never received a massage by Judi or anyone in Morehead City but decided to treat myself to a massage over a long weekend. We hit it off, discussed a lot of holistic health matters, and Judi had the magic touch on my tough and knotty shoulders. It was so great that I made 4 appointments for my family on our next trip to Morehead City in a couple of weeks. I want them to experience what a gentle spirit she is and her magic touch!

Having been fortunate enough to experience many talented and highly-skilled massage therapists while living on the west coast, I can honestly say that Judy Schmutz is the best massage therapist I have ever had. And I definitely got spoiled with a plethora of excellent massage therapists—but none even come close to Judy. Judy uses a variety of techniques that meet her client's individual needs, and she really has a sense of what your body needs and wants at the time of your massage—each massage I have had with Judy has been slightly different and absolutely divine! I can't wait to see Judy again.

After relocating to the coast, and having grown accustomed to receiving excellent massages in Raleigh, I ventured out to find a good massage therapist. I tried five different places, but none met the standards my family was used to. Finally, after receiving an excellent recommendation from someone I truly trusted, I arrived at Hand and Spirit and met Judith Schmutz. Judith's warmth, her tender caring voice, and her laughter filled the room, and we clicked! As a matter of fact, everyone in my family has been seeing Judith now for the four years we have lived here. Our children look forward to birthdays, Christmas, and other special occasions to see her. I truly believe that Judith is one of the few individuals who has attained such a high level of competence in massage therapy.
When we get a massage from Judith, it is like you cannot stop smiling because it feels like you are floating on cloud nine. I just had another massage from her last week that was full of love, laughter, and healing touch. Judith travels from time-to-time during the year, participating in workshops that allow her to master new methods of massage and energywork. She also teaches classes in the Therapeutic Massage program at the college. Judith is a caring, kind woman.
