About Hand & Spirit
Judith Schmutz, M.A., M.Ed., is a North Carolina Licensed Massage Therapist (LMBT #5911), and has been certified by the National Certification Board in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork since 2005.
Judith incorporates intuitive energy techniques with therapeutic bodywork as needed in her sessions. She is convinced that regular, deep relaxing bodywork can relieve stress and encourage a sense of well-being. She works to facilitate an environment where healing can occur, and believes that true healing comes from within the individual.
In addition to her practice at Hand and Spirit, you can find Judith in her art studio creating outdoor “Garden Guardians,” and indoor sculptures in the form of “Soul Bowls” and “Spirit Lights.” She also teaches aromatherapy, herbal medicine and energy medicine as an adjunct instructor in the Therapeutic Massage program at Carteret Community College and continues to pursue her life-long studies in medicinal herbs and essential oils. Developing a medicinal herb display garden and being a mindful steward of Mother Earth allow Judit to bring her passionate energy full circle into her work at Hand and Spirit.
